yay, im finally feeling better. Its hard to appreciate the importance of health not till u fall sick. Typical human nature I should say.

Supposed to go on a clubbing date but end up getting a food poisoning before the clubbing start. Tell me how suay can that be? Head down to the 24hrs clinic at CCK.

Diagnosed with Food poisoning, fever, accompanied by vomiting and low blood pressure (70, avr is 90).

As I was in clubbing attire, the first question he asked was,"Do you need me to cover u with an MC for today?". Following which, after I told him abt some of my syptoms, he seemed to think that Im pregnant. Then, he started asking me for my last mensus date and stuff.

Then the hilarious part came, the doctor wrapped my arm to check my blood pressure. Then he used the stethescope to listen to my pulse rate. After 2 attempts, he didnt manage to hear my heart beat. I was a little paranoid, "u cant find my pulse?"

D,"Wait, Im trying to listen."

Now, Im starting to panick. Not again. Another locum doctor? My life is endangered. What if he needs to give me injection? No way AM I going to put my life at risk!!!!!!

D,"okie, your blood pressure is very low. In hospital setting, they will give you drip, but here in clinic, we dont have such device(Hello, Im sick but not blind! I CAN see that u DONT Have A DRIP here.Thanks for telling me that.)So later when you go back, drink isotonic water to replenish the salt intake and also drink the the the...."

K,"Glucose drink right? Yeah Im aware of that."

D,"yeah, the glucose drink..."

D,"If you miss your mensus, you better come back to do a urine test, girls in early twenties are prone to pregnancy."

K(fuming),"Im quite sure my mensus is coming, and my last mensus date (I had already told him) was on the 15th oct.(Fail your maths right!)Im quite sure its food poisoning and not a problem with pregnancy. (Actually I suspect he thinks Im some kind of girl working in the bar or KTV lounge. I contemplated to reveal my NIE identity, but was afraid he might fall off his chair.)"

Another stupid question,....

D,"what did you eat? "

K," Fish porridge, the only meal I had today."

D," Did anyone share with you?"

K,"Unfortunately, NO."

At that instance, pardon me for wanting to faint just like that.

Another 1 minute gone past....

Doctor clarified his doubt and was convinced that Im suffering from FOOD poisoning!

D,"Do you need an MC to cover for work tml?"

K,"Its okie, theres no school tml."

See how shitty a clinic visit can be?

Anyway, after taking a dose of his panadol, my fever temp shot up the next day morning. I re-visited the same clinic for injection to curb vomiting the next day.

Fortunately, that indian doctor is not there.

Being sick is terrible coz it makes you lose your appetite. Sleeping too much makes your body aches. Tried to study but the medicine makes you drowsy. Worse thing is, the moment my fever is gone, my mensus came. When can I ever say bye to panadol?

Holy Shit. Its not the right time to fall sick.

My dear came to stay with me for the past 2 days. Although his exam is on this coming thurs. I was quite guilty to have fallen sick at this point in time and he cant focus on his revision. Yet, his care and concern really made me recover faster than I had imagined.
